The chamber is also equipped with rigs to simulate wind, rain, snow and incident solar radiation.<\/p>\n<p>The Energy House 2.0, part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, is a one-of-a-kind, world-leading research facility that is forging the way in making our buildings carbon neutral. Energy House 2.0 will facilitate a step-change in the design of buildings, such as our homes, helping us to live more sustainably in low carbon environments.<\/p>\n<p>The enhanced capacity <a href=\"https:\/\/www.titon.com\/uk\/products\/ventilation-systems\/heat_recovery_mvhr\/hrv-1-6-q-plus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HRV1.6 Q Plus<\/a> is a continuously running whole-house ventilation unit with heat recovery and is independently tested by the BRE. It was chosen for this project as it maintains an ultra-compact size despite its improved results.<\/p>\n<p>Combining extremely low power consumption and a highly efficient heat exchanger, the unit enhances SAP performance via Appendix Q, and yet remains versatile enough in size to be equally as functional in larger apartments as it is in medium to large sized dwellings.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.titon.com\/uk\/products\/ventilation-systems\/heat_recovery_mvhr\/hrv-1-6-q-plus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HRV1.6 Q Plus Range<\/a> comes in two different models; the &#8216;HMB&#8217; and &#8216;B&#8217; versions which form part of Titon&#8217;s Eco range.
